Quantum applications take off: QAL at Quantum Meets
Quantum Meets returns 19-22 May to Amsterdam and this time with a QAL side-event where the QAL team will present on 20 May a real-world quantum computing use case developed together with KLM. Marking one of the first concrete aviation applications explored within the QAL portfolio, this session demonstrates how quantum computing can be applied to operational challenges faced by large, data driven organisations.
During this session KLM and QAL will present where quantum inspired and quantum ready methods were explored and tested against one of the airline industry's hardest modelling challenges: understanding the true impact of marketing actions. This presentation distills key insights, what worked, what didn’t, and where quantum approaches may meaningfully enhance future pricing and forecasting workflows.
This session highlights opportunities for collaboration across the quantum ecosystem. By bringing together quantum technology developers, non‑quantum industry partners, and end users, QAL acts as a bridge between innovation and implementation. The KLM use case serves as a concrete example of how such collaborations can accelerate learning, align expectations, and help organisations prepare for the next generation of computational capabilities.
